Theme: GDP or Sustainable Development Goals? Nudging young leaders towards sustainable economics
“What has been the first sparkle that got you involved in sustainability?”
There is a direct relationship between GDP and the SDGs, we want you to think about the balance between growth and the SDGs.
A personal vision on the tension between economic growth and prosperity for mankind
A true leader is not only someone who has a lot of knowledge and skills about their job, but also someone who has a lot of knowledge about themselves.
The role business has to play
The framework that I’m most interested in is ‘how do we act as a part of nature’. This is the heart of what we need to address: how are we going to live as human beings, how are we going to have a relation to each other and the world and environment around us.
How to implement the SDGs? A personal story on leadership
How can we deliver impact? That’s what you’re doing here. I am challenging you to lead on implementation. You have a lot, and you may underestimate yourself. You are the future and you can already start doing this now. You should not doubt that for a second. But you really need to start now.
Explanation of coaching sessions and introduction of the Nudge Impact Framework
You should take part in the Challenge to kickstart your impact because you have to design a practical impact plan and you get the inspiration for it. I think however, that if you are working on sustainability it can sometimes be a bit depressing because you see all these problems growing and your little impact feels so small. But when you are here with 90 youngsters from all over the world who all work on creating impact, you realise again that you are not alone. I think THAT is the most important realisation to keep going and be sure to make that impact you really can have.
"What is your personal desire to make the world sustainable?"
The Nudge Global Impact Challenge and its participants will help turn my passion into something that is tangible. Support me, or walk with me, to view my challenge from a different angle or lens as an opportunity to create something in my society, in my country, in my continent.
